Free Tool · Windows
A free map editing tool for creating hex-based maps, drawing custom tile graphics, and building your own scenarios and add-on content for Ratbyte games. Whether you want to tweak an existing map or design something entirely new, this is where you start.
The Hex Map Editor — place tiles, paint terrain, and compose your map hex by hex.
What It Does
The editor gives you full control over the map canvas — place tiles, swap graphics, and compose layouts that you can drop straight into Ratbyte games.
Design hex-based maps from scratch using the tile palette. Paint terrain, place landmarks, and lay out the geography of your scenario exactly how you want it.
Draw and import your own hex tile images to replace or extend the default tile sets. Build entirely new visual themes or add detail to existing terrain types.
Package your work into scenarios and add-on content for others to play. Share your creations with the community to keep the games growing long after release.
